WATERCOLOUR CLASS - $65pp

Join Liz H Lovell in this fun, hands-on, beginner watercolour class. Start off with an overview of practicing basics of tonal values, colour mixing to other learning watercolour techniques such as wet-on-wet, wet on dry, and creating different effects with additives or brushes. Then you can choose your own inspiration to paint either from objects around you, using your imagination or a basing off photo (you can bring your own) and putting what you’ve learned into practice, where you’ll work on your own piece(s), at your own pace

What to bring: Apply your inner artistic talent and explore your own creativity. A fun positive attitude!

All Materials Supplied: Watercolour paper, watercolour paint, brushes, palette to create your own artwork.

Aim: The idea is to have fun, gain a basic understanding of watercolour techniques and take home your very own artwork!

Workshop: Basic introduction to watercolour painting. Build on your creative and artistic mind. Experiment with colour mixing, learn tonal values and gain some handy watercolour techniques. The workshop should help beginners harness their creative talent (using the right hemisphere of the brain) and be inspired by art!

DRAWING CLASS - $65PP

Join Liz H Lovell in this fun, hands-on, drawing class. Start off with a few warm-up sketches, followed by exercises introducing some of the essential drawing techniques. The second part is about putting what you’ve learned into practice, where you’ll work on your own piece(s), at your own pace. This allows for the opportunity to ask one-on-one feedback or other questions you might have when you get stuck with the drawing process. We’ll be working with a still life for this first part of the class, but you can bring an image of your own inspiration for the second part.

About your teacher, Liz

Liz H Lovell is a Sydney based artist with artwork predominantly based on observations of nature. Her workshops are about encouraging different expressions of creativity and having a great fun relaxing time, while going home with a piece of art that you didn’t know you could create before.

My artworks are predominantly based on my observations of nature. I like to apply a blend of impressionism and realism for emotional aesthetics.

Artworks are based on either:

  • Observation of symbiotic relationships;

  •  Interconnectedness of different forms.

Studying nature in my daily life and when travelling as well as keeping a sketchbook help to conceptualise ideas for my artworks.
